Recycled art canvases

Here are my little art canvases. I've now prepared them all with oil paint backgrounds.

I machined-stitched some silk scraps, from a wedding dress designer, to form a patchwork. I had dyed these some time ago.

I will do some little hare paintings on some of these backgrounds soon. But for now I am carrying on with the sacred heart theme.

The patchwork silk heart and wings has now been hand-stitched to the recycled/repurposed canvas board.

The finished piece has now had recycled paper, beads and a button sewn on. The heart and wings has a hand-stitched silver metallic thread outline.

My next project - recycled, miniature art

 Minus a sleeve.

 Fabric glued to card.

Gesso applied.  And finally, cut to size.

I'm now just starting to work on my next eco-friendly little pictures. Made from recycled packaging and fabric from my daughters outgrown clothes. Just trying to decide what to paint, or stitch on them.
